Airbag Folding Using Primer 使用Primer进行气囊折叠

An introduction to folding 2D airbags using Primer & LS-DYNA will be presented. Realistic examples are used that demonstrate the most common fold patterns found in front and side airbags.

Depending on the training session this will either be a live demonstration or hands-on training.

Richard Taylor’s profile
Richard Taylor is an LS-DYNA expert specialising in occupant and pedestrian safety. He joined Arup in 1998 and since 2000 has worked as a consultant to the Japanese automotive industry on structural performance and crash safety projects. Now based in JSOL Corporation's Nagoya office, Richard is Arup's representative for Oasys software in Japan. He has also worked in Arup's Detroit and UK offices.

Relevant Projects
Airbag Training CourseRichard extensively re-wrote his Airbag Particle training course in 2012, collating his years of modelling experience with latest DYNA technology into a highly detailed and practical manual. The two-day course provides all information needed to develop highly accurate airbag models.

Airbag and Sled AnalysisRichard is heavily involved in airbag modelling methods development for large Japanese automobile manufacturers. He has worked on over 25 airbag/sled projects, with extensive experience in testing and predictive analysis for both airbag validation and occupant injury in sleds and out-of-position cases. He is often called upon to raise a company's simulation capabilities or to help model highly complex airbag designs.

Airbag Folding ToolJSOL Corporation is currently developing a simulation based airbag folding software tool inside Oasys Primer. Richard is responsible for developing the LS-DYNA modelling techniques to make this possible.

Automation SystemOasys Software is used extensively by the Japanese automotive industry, in particular to automate crash analysis work. Richard is helping design one such automation system for a very large client.

Pedestrian ImpactRichard developed Arup’s WG17 pedestrian impactor models, helped JSOL create a highly accurate Flex-GT model and has extensive experience of predictive vehicle modelling and countermeasure design for pedestrian impact.

SupportRichard is Arup & JSOL's go-to expert on all aspects of airbag modelling and Oasys Software for LS-DYNA. He also supports provides advanced support for JSOL's LS-DYNA customers.
